Recordings - Japan

In the 1960’s & 1970’s Columbia Records under their banner, “CBS Sony Music, Japan” released LP’s in Japan that were aimed at the serious collector. Most were compilation albums from the Classic Quartet period of the 1950’s and 1960’s.

The releases were primarily gatefold LP’s, with detailed large colour image booklets stapled inside the gatefold; several of the images had never been seen before. Some included soft luxurious covers.

They remain in the majority available for purchase through online auction sites.
