Part I takes as its text the temptations of Jesus, his message of hope to a suffering world, and summation of his teachings in the commandment to love one another. Part II deals primarily with questions of faith and man’s place in the universe.

Notes

Dave Brubeck originally released the studio version of this oratorio with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

This 2 LP set was recorded and issued privately by The University of Minnesota Chorus and Orchestra on April 26th, 1969.
