Recorded live at Newport Jazz Festival, Newport, Rhode Island, on July 6, 1956.

Tracks 5-8 were previously released on the bootleg CD "Dave Brubeck/Paul Desmond - St. Louis Blues" (Moon MCD 028-2).

Personnel: Dave Brubeck (p), Paul Desmond (as), Eugene Wright (b) and Joe Morello (d).

Recorded live at Newport Jazz Festival, Newport, Rhode Island, on July 5, 1959.

The "bonus” tracks 9-10 have the same personnel as tracks 5-8, and were recorded live in Hannover, Germany, on February 28, 1958.

Tracks 5-8 were released by the Bandstand label as "Dave Brubeck Quartet Live featuring Paul Desmond".

Track 7 was incorrectly listed on this release as “Blues”.

The track “Three To Get Ready” is released on the bootleg CD,"Take Five" (Vipers Nest) as "Eleven Four".
