This was a special pressing by the Penn State Jazz Club for members only.

It was pressed on red vinyl; very few copies still exist. The notes on this LP release as 18th March. However following research by Andrey Henkin,
Editorial Director, The New York City Jazz Record, it has been determined that the actual date was 19th March 1955. (date stated on the Solar CD release - see below).

In 2014, Solar Records released this recording on CD.

The Penn State Jazz Club was formed in 1954 and is still in existence today. The Dave Brubeck Quartet was their first ever concert that they organised.
